JRDV was selected to design the Fox Block, the first major retail and entertainment anchor for the Fox Uptown District. The project is designed to establish a new-generation of urban entertainment-retail capable of establishing the emerging Fox Uptown District as a hip urban destination. The design of the project is intended to create a strong pedestrian brand that leverages and enhances the eclectic historical fabric of the neighborhood. The project will complement the Fox Theatre, which has become one of the most successful live music venues in California. The Fox Block will add a creative program of new clubs, restaurants, and cutting-edge fashion to create a catalyst for the emerging downtown neighborhood. The project also successfully integrates much needed additional parking into the district.
