El Reino de Don Quijote is located on 750 hectares in central Spain, just south of Madrid. JRDV Architects has led the design of this luxury destination retail center near Ciudad Real, working for Forest City International’s El Reino de Don Quijote del la Mancha Development, one of the largest development projects in Europe. Besides destination retail, the project includes ten large destination hotels, convention facilities, residential recreation, and open space, and is being planned as an environmentally sustainable development with considerations for water, landscape, and land recovery. This original and spectacular concept will set the standard as a tourist venue at both a national and international scale.
