Design Approach
JRDV works closely with its clients to architecturally realize their vision for how to best attract and sustain customers, create a competitive advantage and design great lasting places. We believe good design is a combination of rigorous problem solving combined with an inspired, artistic ability. Our projects are the result of a highly creative and collaborative process that produces both modern and traditionally styled buildings that establish strong, distinctively innovative brands. All our projects share seriousness and sincerity in effort, despite stylistic differences.
JRDV's projects, clients, and collaborative teams are typically located in different countries and time zones. Our established protocols, communication systems, and camaraderie allow for fast, collaborative work. This team cohesion occurs both with conceptual-level work as well as with the detailed coordination required when partnering with local technical architects and builders. Drawing sets are packaged for ease of use in different languages and with different construction methods. The Concept Design Phase Collaboration begins with face-to-face charrettes followed by "real-time" virtual workplace interactions, that maximize internet communications. While most of its projects are several time zones away, JRDV is usually far more responsive than any local architect "down the street."
