Progress in the practice of architecture usually comes through the cross-pollination of design solutions, ideas, and approaches. In a Darwinian sense, the language of architectural
expression is evolutionary as the best new combinations of approaches become the most influential. They often are also those that are the most intellectually and economically robust. With offices based in the United States and Mexico and working in six countries on three continents, JRDV has gained plenty of cross-pollination. Their international experience creates greater perspective on problems and yields more opportunity for unexpected breakthroughs. In order to take full advantage of these opportunities, JRDV raised the bar on communicating effectively given the constraints of geographical distance. The firm's strong emphasis on communication with clients challenges it to be more culturally aware, and to use new technology in more creative ways. | | |
